Nottinghamshire · Member-owned · Est. 1906
A member-owned parkland in the Nottinghamshire countryside, walked since 1906. Recognised as a Championship Venue by the County Union — and proud of a clubhouse where visitors are made to feel welcome, not tolerated.
The Club
Stanton-on-the-Wolds has been owned and run by its members since 1906. That ownership shows in the small things — the clubhouse is properly looked after, the course is conditioned to a championship standard, and the welcome at the bar is warm without ever being saccharine.
We are not the biggest club in Nottinghamshire. We are not the most exclusive. We are something rarer: a friendly, well-kept members' club where good golf is played and good company is kept. Both Men's and Ladies' sections compete actively in the County Union. Our Juniors and Seniors are equally well-served. Visitors are welcomed as guests, not commodity.
"The course is in superb condition. The welcome at the clubhouse is what every visiting golfer hopes for."

Parkland golf at its most playable — mature trees framing every hole, with the Vale of Belvoir as a distant backdrop.
The Course
Six thousand yards of traditional Nottinghamshire parkland. The greens are quick and true, the fairways generous from the tee, and the bunkering thoughtfully placed. A round here is a fair test for any handicap.

The Spinney
Par 4 · 412 yards · SI 2
A dogleg right around a stand of mature pines. The bold line is the obvious one; the smart play is the one that leaves you the shorter iron in.

Vale View
Par 3 · 168 yards · SI 14
A mid-iron over a hollow to a small two-tier green. The Vale of Belvoir stretches out beyond the pin on a clear day. Wind reads, club selection, commitment.

Home
Par 4 · 386 yards · SI 4
A subtle uphill finishing hole back to the clubhouse, played in front of the patio. Bring your best swing — there's usually an audience.
